Game Developer magazine includes a creator-written postmortem on the making of Square Enix's Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As a King, the company's first WiiWare effort.
"We knew that My Life as a King was going to be a different kind of game compared to our usual titles. So for our development process, we wanted to have flexibility above all else, and we hoped to gain that by relying on a script language. After a little bit of testing, we decided to use Squirrel." - lead programmer Fumiaki Shiraishi

More Breath of Fires?
We can hope right? When interviewed here is what came up:Cubed³'s Adam Riley: Considering your current deal with Capcom, and the fact that the company has left its Breath of Fire series untouched for far too long, would you ever give consideration to tackling the resurrection of that RPG franchise?
The Takahashi Brothers: We get asked this a lot recently. The development team is extremely important in making an RPG and when some of the team left after Mario Tennis GBA we had to say it wasn’t possible. Lately, however, the gap is being filled and I’m quite confident to take on pretty much anything. It is possible to start planning for titles such as the Breath of Fire series. As I mentioned earlier, the number of games we can develop at a time is quite limited so we would like to consider what people want the most in order to determine the next title for development.

A report on (forever-fantasy) states that Famitsu has conducted an interview with Nomura about the upcoming DKS3713 private event, and managed to get a few new details:- Versus XIII is on hold until FFXIII is done, because the entire Versus team is helping to finish Final Fantasy XIII at the moment. It is number one priority.
- While the planners and programmers are all working on Final Fantasy XIII, the Versus project is getting the designers to work on a lot of image illustrations and conceptual visuals. The story for Versus is also pretty much complete. June 26, 2008

Pardo mentioned initial plans were to make World of Warcraft "free and advertise supported." - if party members use the same skills, those skills will be increased
- beasts = Roguresu. These creatures help teach you throughout the game
